I am very susceptible to randomly falling down YouTube/Facebook video rabbit holes. I never really know what causes one to start, as is the case with many who are just like me, but I can tell you that it usually finds me in some pretty odd places.
Today, while working and well into tonight, I found myself watching Chris Ramsay solving puzzle boxes. I don’t know why, I only vaguely remember how, but that’s how I spent my day. Which of course means that I’ve been looking up the cost of puzzle boxes off and on today, realizing that this is not a hobby or adventure that I can afford to take up.
However, he puts out enough content that I have quite a bit to watch in-between the 5 Minute Crafts and other assorted bullshit I waste my time on, so at least he’s not actively rotting my braincells with clickbait misinformation.
Watching him is very entertaining, but honestly, seeing the craftsmanship of some of these puzzles that he’s solving is mindblowing. Riot Games sponsored a box for him based on Legends of Runterra and that thing looks bad ass. I was amazed when he solved it at the end because it was just an overall beautiful product even once solved.
I don’t know what specific rabbit hole awaits me next time, but I’ve definitely got Ramsay on my watchlist for when I’ve got an idle moment.
